Physical Education Department

The Health and Physical Education Department at Keswick High School is dedicated to promoting the social, emotional, and physical well-being of every student. Our programs emphasize skill development, personal growth, and lifelong health, empowering students to make informed decisions, build confidence, and engage in physical activity in meaningful ways.

Our approach is guided by fundamental principles: learning is most effective in safe and supportive environments, physical activity is central to student growth, and health and physical education is student-centered, skill-based, and connected to real life. By integrating balanced instruction with practical experiences, students develop the knowledge and habits necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle now and in the future.

The HPE Department is committed to creating active, fun, and inclusive experiences that foster intellectual and physical development. Our program goals focus on improving physical fitness, cultivating leadership skills, enhancing decision-making abilities, and supporting students in designing a personal lifelong pursuit of health and wellness.

At KHS, Health and Physical Education is more than a curriculum—it’s a foundation for confidence, resilience, and a healthy, active lifestyle, reflecting our commitment to Community as Curriculum: Cultivating Connection, Well-Being, and Success.
