The Science Department at Keswick High School inspires students to explore and understand the natural and human-designed worlds. Through hands-on experiments, inquiry-based learning, and real-world applications, students develop scientific literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Our courses help students understand how scientific knowledge is generated, validated, and applied, and how science interacts with technology, society, and the environment. Students also learn to assess evidence, consider risks and benefits, and make informed decisions—skills that are essential for navigating today’s complex world.
At KHS, science is more than facts and formulas—it’s a dynamic, collaborative, and creative way of knowing, empowering students to ask questions, discover solutions, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
